Friday was Kaleb's race day. He did not race until 4:30 so Chris, Danny, Kali, Kaleb and I meandered around the Charleston Battery for awhile. I of course was thrilled to find a Tervis Tumbler shop. Love those cups. The above pictures are just some fun ones of us on the battery. Kaleb was asleep in the stroller. Seriously, it was a beautiful day.

We ended up making the mistake of walking to Kaleb's race rather than driving. (Driving in downtown Charleston can be difficult, especially on a Friday). After 4-5 miles we were pooped. Furthermore, Kaleb wet his pants. He gave us a warning, but daddy did not find it kosher to pee on a tree in public and wanted to find a bonafide business. He's not aware that Kaleb gives a 30 second warning after napping, thus the picture above. We had his underwear and pants on the front of the stroller to dry out as we walked. Kaleb was not amused.
We arrived at the children's race safe, sound, dry, and maybe a little stinky. The only problem was that we did not have a willing participant. Unfortunately, God has a sense of humor and has blessed us with a child who loves to wake up as much I do. It only takes him a couple of hours. We (our friends the Patricks had their children running), took our kids to the quarter mile mark and let them take off. Kaleb was not feeling it. Well, I guess he was not the first time. After he got his medal, he wanted to do it again so we did.
After his medal and before his secondary run.
Kaleb and his sweet friends.
